Its just too close together for me, not sure about any of the other owners. One big De Lorean event is costing enough for me never mind two. Its a credit to the English and mainland Europe owners who are bringing their cars over! It will definately be an event not to be missed. I think myself and my car will be pretty exhausted after four packed days of De Lorean De Lorean De Lorean. If I had the money, I probably would have went to the Lotus thing too. Eurofest now has 70 cars registered, along with the original Prototype. The owner of the Gold car was wanting substantial amounts of money to 'hire' the car. Insurance costs and freight were also pretty heavy. It was a collective decision to invest the money into other events. I personally cant wait to take my car around the original test track again, and visit the factory where the cars were built. You should have joined Eurofest since you will be in the country at the same time Chris, only happens once every five years. The facitilities might not be there for the next Eurofest. I really do hope its all down to the actual cost of both events and nothing else. On a separate note i now have the last piece of my #budget# stereo upgrade completed, the subwoofer. I can honestly say i have always been a little sceptical of these things based upon the 'chavs' interpretation of what bass should be :), but after completing this last night and listening to a few random tracks i am gobsmacked as to the difference this makes to the installation overall. The subwoofer i have installed fits perfectly into the drivers side cubby hole in the place of the 'locking' door and overlaps the carpeted hole nicely. With the drivers seat in the upright position this speaker is unnoticable and ready to return to stock if ever needed . If anyone would like any details on this speaker or the installtion drop me a line. Another 'howtoo' is on the cards shortly :) 30 cars at Lotus would be nice another record eh :) Kind Regards Mike #2001 HEC6T 403 --- In doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Chris Parnham" <secretary@...> wrote: > > Dear list, > > I am not attending Euro-fest this time, but will be Northern Ireland of > family business, from Thursday 25th until Tuesday 30th, so if any > members would like to meet up for a drink, that would be very nice.
