RE: [doc] Harpenden

Hello

After the trip to Harpenden at the weekend, I was wrong about the
lay-bys there are three on the way into
Harpenden coming from the M1 J10.  The first one is just off the
roundabout but its more of a short stretch off
gravel/grass people have been parking on, I think its not big enough and
a bit dangerous.  The second is probably the best place to meet its
about 1 mile further down the road from the roundabout near J10, its
opposite a farm and just past the first set of houses.

Or The Fox pub on the right just before Harpenden, its usually busy but
probably be ok at that time in the afternoon.

I reckon the pub could be the easier to find meeting point, but I'll

I'm not sure on actual numbers of cars yet, but I think we've got:

Chris Hawes (you'll hear the exhaust before you see him!)

Mark Bourne (RHD)

 

Which, if my abacus is working properly makes 9 cars, which I think will
better last year :o)

I was thinking about these lay-by on the road towards Harpenden just off
the M1 J10.
I don't think there is any parking on the left except where some houses
are but these 
are usually full of parked cars for the houses.  Plenty of lay-bys on
the right but this would 
mean pulling across the traffic to park up.  

What about Capability Green business park slip road its just off the M1
J10 but instead
of turning right towards Harpenden go straight on then left up slip
road.  You can then turn
right at the top of the slip road go across the main road again and back
down the slip 
road on the other side, we could meet up there.  Its just before Luton
airport.

I'm going to Harpenden tonight so I can check on the lay-by (just for
research!!) or there
is a pub just before Harpenden called The Fox we could met there.

How many cars are going?
