RE: [doc] Please help...stainless cleaning! UPDATE

Hi!
Today I got a chance to powerwash the panels, and the result was fantastic. The car looks much better. I also used a slightly thicker coarse of blending pad which also helped get the panels shining again.
I have also recently sprayed my bumpers (thought I would give it a shot) and they came out alright (much better than cracked paint anyway lol). So I gave them a rub down tonight with 1200 grit paper and some rubbing compound, and that tidied them up a bit.
Then, I decided to rub the remaining black paint off the stainless panel above the windscreen, which also improved the look of the car! I will spray it black again though once A levels are out of the way!

So, its all tidied up and ready for our meetup over here this weekend! Thanks for everyones help on cleaning the stainless!

Hi Thomas,
I had the same problem with my car it always came up very dull
what i done was cleaned the car down with a very good hot jet wash at my
local
fuel station. i think what happens is the dirt and crap get right into the
grane of the stainless
The jet wash and heat is great at cleaning it out.
when i done my car the result was great .
