RE: [doc] Suspension Question

If you still have "stock" front springs then replacing them with either
DMCH one's or mine (shipping is very expensive from the UK to the USA)
will improve the looks and handling.

All the Lotus proto-types had lower front suspension.  You then look
over the bonnet instead of along it. Plus the suspension works as it
should and not "over centre".
The rear springs are generally OK as they are.

Just my opinion.

Subject: [doc] Suspension Question

I'm doing a DIY shock/strut (possible springs) and new bushings, control

arms, etc., on the front and rear suspension pieces.

Is it necessary (in general automotive repair terms) to replace the
springs
while replacing the shocks & struts?

What would necessitate a spring replacement besides aesthetic reasons?

Regards,
Michael Pack
