Re: [doc] "new" new cars

BMW mini's are small practical and can seat 4 adults, the insurance I'm not too sure about but I hear a Renault Cleo is pretty good to insure.

All this talk of rover shutting down, leaves me in consideration of
what car to get next. I used to live a stones throw from the
longbridge plant, and a lot of my school mates could well be out of
  work very soon!

Currently I have a 5 year old hyundai accent which has served me well,
but its time to change, and so I need a little bit of advice if
possible from what seem to be a mostly clued up bunch of motor heads
  ;)

so what do i go for guys (and gals) ? I need something that can take a
fair whack of miles, up to 25k a year, be economical, safe and sturdy,
no more than a 1.5l or less than a 1.3, low insurance group (my accent
is group 4 and my premium is still an anal fisting), comfortably fit 4
adults and most importantly be in the low end price bracket.. so
  around 8 or 9 k

I would spend that towards a delorean if it was practical... but it
just isnt, for quite a few of my ideal car checklist

so what should i go for... or shall i just go and buy a brand new accent?
