It does sound like a temp sensor 1-1-5 #45 but it could be the one that goes in the R/H head for the temp gauge or possibly the Lambda temp sensor that goes in the Y pipe. Parts Manual 2-3-0 #14. Unless it was replaced or there is a plug instead you would be losing coolant like crazy.

That sounds like a temperature sensor. Can you give us a link to the
