Hi Wayne and others, I have a fully refurbished manual frame, including removal of loose epoxy, rust inhibiting primer, painted Rustoleum oil based Smoke Gray and Eastwood "clear" undercoating spray in all enclosed frame areas. Frame is "on the shelf", ready to go. Preferred method of transport is to personally pick up in the Chicago area or arrange for a private carrier to drop off, such as Gullwing Transport (via DMC MW). Refurbished is probably about half the cost of a new SS frame, if you can find one available. All suspect rust has been removed and new steel has been welded in, to look as "stock" appearing as possible. Email me via dmcnews@yahoogroups if anyone is seriously interested. Thanks, Rich W. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, deloreanernst@... wrote: > > I'm moving toward redoing my frame. It might be easier to swap it out, if mine proves to be too rusty, after I get to see it naked. A new one is not in the budget. Any thoughts, anyone? Powdercoating? Cost? Whatever. Mine is for the manual tranny. > > > -Wayne > 11174 > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
