[DML] Mechanic Referral

Hi all,

 

For anyone living in or around Bergen County, NJ, I just wanted to share a
great experience I had with a very talented mechanic who worked on my D
recently. To fix a major ATF leak, the car required a complete R&R of the
transmission and replacement of the seals and some other fixes. He had done
some minor work on the car in the past but this was somewhat more extensive.

 

I was impressed with the care taken of the car, in addition to his (Jake's)
reviewing and following procedures in the DMC workshop manual I provided and
speaking with the TX folks to ensure the correct parts were ordered.  He
also took the time to put the car on a lift for me to point out the problems
in addition to some shoddy work that had been done prior.

If anyone happens to be or live in the area, I would certainly recommend
Jake highly.  Needless to say, I have no financial arrangement with this
shop, just wanted to share this info for folks in the area as it is
difficult to know which shops to trust outside of the DMC locations and PJ
Grady.  I recall there used to be a list of mechanics open to working on
Deloreans, but I am not sure where or if this collection still exists.
