Well here are two MSDS sheets for canned air containing 100% R134a. http://www.belkin.com/support/msds/F8E408.pdf http://www.natrading.com/catalog/asp_pages/user_documents/NA_MSDS_CannedAir.pdf Been awhile since I bought any so I'm sure you can get alternatives now. All I'm saying is we should try to avoid purposely venting it into the atmosphere but in small quantities and for working on a single car I think it's ridiculous to need a license to use it (even though the license is $20 and open book - which proves it's a money-making grab). It has since been replaced with Difluoroethane (R-152a) because venting R-134a into the atmosphere is an issue. R-134a is being phased out just like R-12 was. > > Chris > VIN 4099 > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "soma576" <lienan82@...> > To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2012 8:25:16 AM > Subject: Re: [DML] R134 Freon @ $6.40 Per Can > > > > > > > You can ship 12oz cans by UPS Ground with no restrictions - just check Amazon's policy. > > It's only hazardous because the government would love to sell you a license to use it - oops I mean tax you to use it. > > Fun fact - cans of freeze spray for electronics or keyboard duster spray is nothing more than R134a which **WOW** you are venting right into the atmosphere!
