Why hasn't anybody recommended Shannon to check the capacitor attached to the coil? It's the only capacitor in the whole car that can stop ignition clicks from coming through the radio (all the other capacitors stop clicks from other devices -- not ignition). If Shannon were me instead of Steve, I would disconnect the coil capacitor and make sure the terminal on its lead wire is OK. While it was loose I would put an ohm meter on the it to make sure the capacitor charges up OK. I would replace the quick connect with a ring terminal before reattaching it to the coil.
