Okay, so the bushes with which the steering rack are mounted are clearly 
a design "flaw" and are no longer required. Why are you not advocating 
their removal in favour of a solid connection (as I'm sure your "other" 
cars have)?

Indeed, I believe in fixing problems that actually exist.
