Matt Spittle bought a new steering column stateside from Borgeson (www.borgeson.com), so Borgeson obviously has the DeLorean design in its database. Speaking of Borgeson: one of my long term goals is to get Borgeson columns for both my cars modified with flexible steering couplings (rag joints) in the middle. Flexible steering couplings were standard equipment on nearly every car ever built, including the lowly VW Bug, for nearly a century. Surely Borgeson can add standard couplings to DeLorean columns too. Without a flexible coupling, every single road imperfection is transmitted unimpeded directly to your hands on the steering wheel. That is why nearly every manufacturer used them. My DeLoreans are the only cars in my stable without flexible couplings -- yet another Lotus design flaw IMHO.
