Bill: Don't forget that your conversion method involves cutting the throttle cable tube. Not easily reversible. Marc: raw fuel does not get dumped into a catalytic converter unless something in the fuel system is wrong. This can happen in any fuel system regardless of delivery method. Most people are aware of this, but I thought I would mention it in public since your suggestion is that carburetors inherently run rich. That is all I have to say on the matter; y'all can fight it out amongst yourselves if you wish.
