Re: [DML] Re: Fuel hoses

Please excuse the promotion here but for years I've been making and selling the three 106979 hoses complete with professionally crimped ends in a flexible high pressure rubber hose. Please see my website

Best Wishes,

Replace them. We've seen quite a few that seem to be just falling off now. Whatever loosened up the ends has attacked the whole hose.

They were good for a very long time (I had them on my car for quite a while), so my guess is that either 8-10 years in fuel got to them, or something in the current gas formula is softning the material more recently. They have been loose (or easy to break off) like that on every car we see with them in the past 5 years.

Currently we are using a high pressure rubber hose with fuel - injection style hose clamps.

PS - as James said, they were not from DMCH
