Re: [DML] A good message for ALL the vendors.

No vendor requires you to do anything.

I have and will always give my business to the vendor that has and
continues to treat me right, even if their parts cost more than the
other vendors (especially when it comes to the same thing). This, to me,
is customer loyalty.

Searching out parts at the cheapest price online forces products to
become cheaper in the end. I will gladly pay the premium from the vendor
that refuses to skimp on quality for the sake of being competitive for
our business. I do like that the price of some of our parts have come
down over the years, but also understand that it has come at a cost.
That cost is the fair profit that needs to be made in order to keep the
doors open and cover the rising cost of doing business.

Being able to call and speak with a person over the phone is a much
better way of keeping things "real." I always ask the vendor to up-sell
me on something new, or something else that I may need. However, I don't
always buy it, but I do tuck it in the back of my mind for the next time
I need something.

I like a bargain like anyone else, but not when it comes to my hobby and
the livelihood of friends.
