The $10,000 question is: if/when "that other site" reconstitutes itself, will the archives be intact, or will its particular knowledge base need to be recreated all over again? The Wayback Machine apparently can't bring up message threads, only the index pages. Even if it could bring up threads, I'm pretty sure it couldn't bring up images attached to them.
