For the first question, it depends on who you talk to, but my suggestion is buy what you want to drive. The 5-speeds generally have better acceleration if that means anything to you, however you won't find that Deloeans in general are speedy cars. Get what you will enjoy, and don't worry about the value of one over the other. Nicely maintained cars, regardless of transmission type, will fetch similar amounts. As far as year affecting value, in general no, but I do believe that 81's are more desireable because of the grooved hoods. The very early 81's with the gas flap are also desireable because you do not need to pop the whole hood to fill up the gas tank. >Is a five-speed manual car worth any more than an automatic?
