It's very simple to see if the cold start valve is blowing any fuel when starting. Take it off and lay it on a piece of cardboard and then bump the starter. If it blows fuel it's good if not it could be the TTS switch or the starter. Initially I thought It was a battery problem, and replaced the battery. This worked well for a few weeks, and then cold starting problems resumed. Typically, after several unsuccessful attempts to start, the battery would die down, and jump starting the car was necessary to successfully cold start the car after 3-4 turns. On a whim, I removed the performance air intake tube (GT100200) and this appeared to solve the cold starting problem. When I placed the tube back in, the car would not cold start This could be a total coincidence, but the air intake tube may simply be exacerbating the problem (perhaps restricting air flow to the engine). Does any one have any ideas on what the problem could be? I'm sure its a small/simple problem as the car has been very well maintained and looked over, and all upgrades have been take care of. Could I simply need a new cold start valve? I have no problems during a "hot start."
