Rich, Yes it is common for a Delorean to idle higher when it is cold, but 2600 rpms is higher than it should be. You may want to take a look at the idle speed motor and see if it is operating properly. Lately, it takes about 5 minutes after a cold start before my D warms up to 180 degrees and then the idle lowers itself to about 800-900 rpm. I don't recall this ever happening to me in years past.
