Hi Andy, My car had the opposite (buzzer didn't act up when the key gets inserted. There is a switch on the lock system. The switch has to break contact when the key is inserted. The pin that lifts the breaker is plastic and wears out over time. I found that both the pin has shaved off a bit and that the screw connecting the lead to the buzzer got a bit loose. That could be your problem too. You'll have to take the lower steering column canopy off to reach the switch (below the steering column, facing the driver). I have only noticed it when the car has the keys in and or is running. When it happens, it is very faint and warbles in pitch as if something is dying. > > Like everyone else, I have the wires for the door switch removed but I am positive they are not touching themselves or anything else. Could the buzzer box be bad? Any other ideas? > > Andy > > [moderator snip] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
