Lordy, I had no idea I was going to cause such a stir on this site. And I thought my colorized diagram generated a lot of emails! Are there really that many steering racks out there that folks need to look at? Besides the postings to DMCNews, DMCTech, and DMCTalk, I sent out 22 emails with the procedure attached to it. Four are working on their racks as I type this. Bill R., I didn't mean to have everyone jumping in your trash, I was just trying to add a bit of levity to my one post and was hoping you would look at my repair and see if it met your approval. Now, I need to personally thank Matthew Spittle, who gave me the answer to the pin removal question and Martin Gutkowski who took the time to proof read my draft and offer suggestions and corrections to my terminology. Without their help, I'd still be looking at something that no one would want to install on their car, instead of a really nice rebuilt rack.
