Fred, Sounds to me the control pressure is gone and it's flooding as you say real bad. Warm up regulator. Make sure there is a voltage going to it and if so unless the FD plunger is sticking which I doubt then I would say WUR. Plug and unplug the RPM relay a time or 2. The voltage to the WUR comes from that. Y/R wire. I have run into a problem. It began last week when I first started the 1765 after sitting over the winter. When I parked it in November It was running great.I did put a fuel stablizer in the tank for storage. The problem is as follows: Starts quickly when cold. running rough at idle ( wobbles between 700 to 800 rpm ) Will not rev over 3000 rpm. The exhaust burns my eyes (rich) Will not go over 30 miles per hour (No power) Hard to restart after warm running. I have drained the fuel and replaced with fresh fuel. Installed a New fuel filter Replaced spark plugs Checked all vaccume hoses(all are attached and in the correct location) Checked that all the fuel injectors are in place and not popped out. I have disconnected the electrical connection on the cold start valve, the frequency valve, and the control pressure reg, separately and all at the same time with no change to the problem. I don't know where to go from here. Has any body ran into this before? Any ideas would be very helpful.
