Some use Castrol, other use oil from the major gas companies. I myself use a non-branded oil from a true oil company (not a gas company). It is a half-synthetic oil with the same viscosity as the DeLorean manual prescibres. The European DMC shop advises against the use of fully synthetic oil as it has better cleaning functions and may clean so much that the freed "dirt" clogs the narrow oil channels in the block. Castrol probably is one of the best oils available, but it's also very expensive. Cheaper oils seem to do the same job at lower cost, so why pay too much?
