Exactly. Pictures surfaced on the internet some years ago of the dies being attached to fish nets and being tossed overboard. Absolutely everything from the DeLorean factory was sold via auction in 1983, and I would guess that's how the die's fate were sealed. We've gotta remember, it took many years after that even for the remaining DeLoreans to be sold... with this glut of the pariah cars, why on earth would anyone want to invest in the dies to build more of them?
