A little history on my car before I ask the question. #4875 was in an accident about 14 years ago or so and was taken off the road due to a little crunch in the frame and some fiberglass damage. Then someone attempted to part it out or just removed some of the rare stuff from the interior. Then the passenger side door original to the car was swapped to another car due to that cars passenger side door having some cosmetic issues. The door from that car is now on my car. I have been told that this door is off of a low 1000 VIN car. I have added the door guides to the passenger side door and am now in the process of aligning it. I have spent 6 hours and have gotten nowhere. I ordered new striker pins and new washers since washers were not the correct type and the pins looked seriously worn out. A few questions now. 1) How will I know when the door is aligned with the torsion bar out? 2) What is the best way of aligning the door without sending it to DMC to have it done. I would really like to get this door aligned so I can proceed in other areas, I really don't like having the door held open by a 2x4.
