Bryan, You are correct. Since the trans. is stuck in second with the fuse out I?d suspect an incorrectly repaired governor. The reason the trans. freewheels at high revs is because typically automatics are designed to do this to avoid further damage from over revving when stuck in lower ?gears? (Ranges is a more accurate term on an automatic trans.). I?m not going to ask where you got it because it might come off as a dig but I have a feeling I know where it?s from?nuff said. This is useful to know if you are a distance from home when the computer fails. At least you will be able to drive at highway speeds in 3rd gear. -- ============-=========-=========-=========-======== Bryan Pearce Pearce Design Components ============-=========-=========-=========-======== On Aug 22, 2008, at 1:44 PM, <HYPERLINK "mailto:rob%40pjgrady.com"rob@xxxxxxxxxxxx> <HYPERLINK "mailto:rob%40pjgrady.com"rob@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: [moderator snip] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
