Kevin, The gasket alone is ok. Just make sure you clean both metal surfaces really well of old material and don't scrape on it since it is aluminum. You could also use some permatex gasket spray, it is red and looks like paint but it is tacky. It helps seal any tiny pores there may be. I disassembled the upper and lower air mixture housings in order to clean both halves up good. Sandwiched in between them was a gasket that came off quite readily and there was no indication of any RTV silicon used during its initial assembly. I have a new gasket, but my question is whether or not I should use RTV silicon when reassembling the upper and lower air mixture housings. Is the gasket alone enough to make a tight seal?
