I'm currently in the process of doing the Valley of Death repair/maintenance. I disassembled the upper and lower air mixture housings in order to clean both halves up good. Sandwiched in between them was a gasket that came off quite readily and there was no indication of any RTV silicon used during its initial assembly. I have a new gasket, but my question is whether or not I should use RTV silicon when reassembling the upper and lower air mixture housings. Is the gasket alone enough to make a tight seal?
