As far as I know the dealers never got a "shop manual". Parts, bulletins, and the like, and there were the Technical Manuals. But, no shop manual. There were apparently a few in "draft" when the Delorean factory closed. From those few came all the copies. Those few originals were sold to some dealers and people that got them from Kapac. I got one from a dealer in Houston in 1984 or so. Maybe DMCH knows the history completely.
