Thanks Welmoed, I knew that the warning light uses a different feed. That was the good news, I still (Sort of) know when I'm low on fuel. I am certain I have to take the binnacle off again. I was missing a couple of the nuts/washers that fit to the back of the gauges, so I guessed as to where they should go, since they were not there when I removed it the first time, sadly when I put it together I put one or more of the nuts in the wrong place, killing the fuel gauge. All of the other gauges work fine. SO you are absolutely correct, another trip under the steering wheel is in my future.
