Actually this all started as an internet newsgroup circa 1994? (hence the name - before mailing lists!) run by a guy named David Takeuchi. My recollection is that his car was totaled in a flood/fire etc and he handed the list over to James. James handed it to me and most of the current team when he went to DMCH around 1999, and I did the same thing when I started the business here in late 2006. For those who don't know, Marc has been on board about as long as anyone. I think that next to James he may be the longest running DMLer.
