[DML] Re: Master cylinder clutch leak fix!



If the clutch cylinder is leaking that means the interior is corroded
from moisture. When the seals pass that part of the cylinder it tears
the lip up and then it leaks. By substituting a higher viscosity fluid
you only delay the inevitable. It is not good to drive on a bad clutch
cylinder (master or slave). You will damage the roll pins on the 1-2
shift rail and possibly break the pivot bolt in the linkage. It sounds
like you have found a temporary solution that can "get you home" but I
would not leave it like that.
