While we're on the subject of LED's: As mentioned in previous posts, most of the vendors now sell set of LED's, but if you want to save a bunch of money and don't mind selecting your own quantities and types, you can buy them direct from www.superbrightleds.com To help with that, a few years back, I put together a page that lists out each type and quantity you'll need to do the various areas of your D. You can find it in the DMCNews tech section at: http://www.dmcnews.com/Techsection/leds.html Note: since I put that list together (back in 2004), they have come out with some pretty cool new bulbs with even more/brighter LED's in them so take a look around while your on the Superbrightled site and you'll see where my list may have spec'd a 6-led version, there is now also a 9-led version available! I'll go through the site and update my spec sheet sometime soon. Also, in case anyone was wondering, I have NO affiliation with the superbrightled.com company/site/people. Just sharing an alternatie source.
