Has anyone thought of setting up a DeLorean Tech Wiki? I'm sure everyone is familiar with Wikipedia. It seems like it would be quite useful to have something similar for DeLorean owners. The idea would be that anyone could post the results of our forum discussions to it, including answers to common questions about tires, oil, how to take things apart and replace parts, step-by-step guides, performance upgrades, cross reference lists and so on, as well as more esoteric things like customizations, DIY upgrades, etc.. It could even host copies of the various manuals and provide a one-stop, user- maintained resource. The idea is that the forums would be a place to discuss solutions, and the wiki would be a place to catalog the results in an easy-to- reference form. This would only work if there was a critical mass of articles up, and it was well sorted. It might alleviate some of the "search the forums" posts (although there could be a button on the Wiki for that, too :) ), and searching the wiki would be a lot easier and might provide -- on a single page -- information that would otherwise span dozens of forum posts. Anyway, just a thought. -- Joe To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
