Sounds like a worn out clutch disc or weak pressure plate to me. Does it only slip w/ hard rev'ing? Gentle driving can eek a little more life out of the clutch. Just remember that your rivets could be eating into the flywheel. A damaged pressure plate of course doesn't matter because you'll be replacing it anyway.
