I still lurk on here but have not had a car in a while but I did have this same issue when I had my car. The ONLY thing that resolved it was adjusting the locking mechanism inside the door (procedures are well documented elsewhere on here). It was not hard, just takes patience and trial and error. As an alternative I found that if I turned the key to it's full 'unlock' position and SIMULTANEOUSLY pull the handle it would open every time. Doesn't help much from inside the car though....Once I adjusted the rods inside, I never had this problem again. Hope that helps. Hi, gang.I have a problem with the driver's door: it won't open. The lock itself seems to be functioning fine, LockZilla checks out okay, and the passenger door opens and closes as usual.I can hear the mechanism (both electrical and mechanical) working when I turn the key; however the door won't open nine times out of ten when the car's been sitting for a while, and it won't open fifty times out of fifty if I've been driving it ... so I assume it's something to do with heat/electricity, but I'm blessed if I can figure it out. It's not too difficult climbing over to the other side to get out, but I'm not getting any younger...Any ideas? :)Farrar Hudkins#2613 _________________________________________________________________ Connect and share in new ways with Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com/connect.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_Wave2_newways_112007 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
