[DML] DCS Awards.

An interesting conversation, because I have always
told Ken that people do not come for the competition,
and awards.   I hope this thread continues and we hear
from more people on it.

I believe people come for the people!  The cars too,
but more so we can look what other people have done to
their cars for internal comparison, and to even copy
(the best form of flattering) ideas.  I have boxes of
trophies and plaques for my cars.  Some even on
display to take up shelf space in my bedroom.  But,
the reality is, they don't hold any value compared to
the memories and experience of going to the shows.

Ken took my advice on the change in layout for
Gettysburg.  Moving the vendors, and museum in to the
conference rooms in the hotel will give us a lot more
space in the convention center for CARS.  It is my
hope that we can fit all of them inside.  Ken does
have to cover the cost's of the show, so I'd encourage
everyone to "enter" you car in the competition even if
you (like me, and Bill) don't care much about the
judging.  It supports the show, and gets the cars
inside.
