For new owners, the following may be beneficial:

Having one's DeLorean judged at DCS is *OPTIONAL*. You can attend the
show without your vehicle being graded. It likely will remain in the
parking lot, but it won't be alone (mine will be out there too).

I missed Memphis because I feared having my then new-to-me DeLorean
scrutinized by judges. Big mistake. 

At Pigeon Forge there were easily 18 to 24 cars that forewent judging.
Some looked quite pristine, and some were definitely works in
progress. All were welcome (I believe Dave Swingle photographed their
license plates for posterity).

Of course foregoing judging does not affect participation in other
show events.

Just trying to set fixer-uppers' minds at ease....
