I have had the same problem. currently I have the whole mast out (I still have ok signal) and have spent tens of hours looking for a replacement mast to no avail. They have not made the antennas or masts for several years now and they are near impossible to find... My motor works fine but the plastic set of teeth have split and failed. the only options I have found is replace the whole unit with an aftermarket piece (the vendors sell these). I have been hesitant to do this because this would mean cutting wires and splicing things together (I hate to do that). Vendors, speak up here... anyone have a stash of the original antennas or black masts... there were silver masts going around for a bit but those have dried up too... And everyone seems to agree on the culprit part, so I'm convinced that's the issue.
