[DML] Re: No Start possible fuel problems

You have to make sure the pump is running before you can do anything
else. You are guessing the RPM relay has failed. Check that the
Inertia switch hasn't popped. Then you can try jumping the RPM relay
but a smarter approach would be to get to the plug at the fuel pump
and make sure you get 12 volts AND ground. If you have both then the
fuel pump is bad and if one (or both) is (are) missing you will know
which side of the circuit to troubleshoot. Verify the Inertia switch
is in the correct (modified) position and it has a splotch of white
paint on it too. You can also do a quick check at #7 fuse. It could be
blown, overheated, or a loose connection. The other common problem in
the fuel pump circuit is a bad connection at the harness plug inside
the washer bottle bucket. Last place to look, always fun taking out
those little bolts! Pop the outer cover off the fuel pump and look in.
When it fills up with water and corrodes everything it's always an
unpleasant surprise!
