Original or not? It does get down to the definition. Most would agree that a car that has replacement tires, replacement brakes, new binnacle, replaced hoses, updated fans, replaced TAB's, new battery, fuel pump, even a bolt on turbo is still an `original'. Now take a new chassis, assemble a car that has the original material created 25 years ago, and now it's not a DeLorean? It's a kit? Kit implies a plastic exterior and a chassis/motor from a different auto (think pinto with a model-T exterior). If I could afford it, I would be standing in line for one of the `new' cars. Call it what you will, it's a DeLorean. I'll bet Mr. DeLorean would own one of these.
