Damnit, Houston, this little marketing blitz has taken over my life. *EVERY* *SINGLE* *PERSON* who knows me has literally accosted me over this story. Do you know how many times I've had to explain, "No, they're not *really* making 'new' DeLoreans, you're not going to see DeLorean dealerships springing up and selling thousands of these things, etc." Seems everyone thinks Houston is building a new factory and churning them out en masse. It's like they don't even read the actual story, just glance at the headline and run with it. Last week, a coworker emailed me about it after I'd already explained it to a dozen other people around the office. I replied with a thousand word essay on how DMCH came into existence and how the "new" DeLoreans will be built and how he must not have read the entire story, else he would know these things, etc. He came into my office and gave me some crap about being a geek (yeah, so?). Not 30 minutes later, during a meeting, another guy says, "Hey Ryan, did you hear they're producing DeLoreans again?" At which point, the half of the room that'd heard about our earlier discussion erupted into laughter. THEN ... Right after the meeting someone else stops me in the hall with the story, causing yet another fit of laughter from the guys who were with me. And tonight, my folks topped off an otherwise lovely evening with mention of the story. It's like I can't get away from it. My DeLorean had better be worth another ten grand by the end of the year, otherwise Stephen's going to have some explaining to do. -Ryan To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
