I may be wrong, but I believe these are also neodymium magnets. At least that's what Wikipedia claims. This site: http://www.magnet4less.com/index.php? cPath=1_11&osCsid=3508ed48d05f4133eebcf46052afa5ac sells magnets and also lists how many pounds of force the magnet exerts, presumably when in contact with metal. I think the ones I have are in the range of 9 pounds. They have 1" x 2" cylinders that exert 175 pounds. Might be a little overkill. :) > REALLY strong is correct.
