I'll let James fill in the details or correct me as necessary when he gets a chance, but here is what I believe I heard at the open house. DHCH plans to build the new cars using new stainless frames and new underbodies made in the molds they already have. Everything on the cars should be new or NOS (new old stock). The cars will be purchased from DMCH without the engine/transmission, which allows DMCH to sell the cars as "component vehicles" (kit cars) and avoid the crash testing and emission testing that would be required it they were complete cars. The buyer can then have "another company" (potentially across the street from DMCH) install the engine/transmission. This is the same method used by Superformance (www.Superformance.com <http://www.superformance.com/> ) to sell component vehicle Cobras, GT40s and Daytona Coupes. James was tasked with figuring out if they had every part required (in the correct quantities) to make the new cars, and to source any needed parts.
