What you have to worry about is damaging the asbestos heat shields(if 
you still have them)and trapping water in the spark plug valley area 
and getting the inside of the distributor wet/moist,other than that 
it is standard issue washing as in any motor,after washing run the 
engine to help it dry whatever water remains on the motor.
