Before you get too upset you should find out if a local auto glass guy can repair it. Depending on how it cracked and where it is it would be a lot cheaper than replacing the windscreen. Replacing the windscreen has it's own problems. They get damaged in shipping, the old stock is delaminating in the corners, anyone who installs the glass will not be responsible if it cracks anyway after you install it. Repairing is about $50-$60. A "new" one is over $350 plus the cost to install which can range from $100 to $150. You might want to ask your insurance company if you are covered for this.
