David, Are you in a DMC club? It sounds like you need some person-to-person networking. What did D-1 do for your $20,000? I think we would all love to see a scan of your invoice posted to the files section. You can get a lot of encouragement by participating in club events and asking people who are more knowledgable than you what their opinions are. Often times there are guys like me who enjoy repairing other peoples' cars for free, as a challenge, at these kind of events. Maybe you can work out a 'help me fix my car or I have to sell it' event? At any rate, the $20,000 is a sunk cost and should not make any difference anymore. What is the marginal benefit for the next marginal cost/repair? Is the next repair so major that you can no longer afford it? That should be your deciding factor. I hope a lot of newbies are reading this thread. Andy Well, to make a long story short within 2 months I had to pay Delorean ne Motors of Los Angeles, CA almost $20,000 for repairs. The car was chop job and all the major systems and components had to be eplaced. I've just spent another $3,000 in repairs for more things hat popped up and now I have a fuel system issue. I haven't even egun to refurb the interior (I want to replace the seats and carpet). I don't see the car as a financial investment; I just love and enjoy wning and driving it. I'm just sick of every day a new problem opping up and don't know when to call it quits as far as putting oney in it. -----Original Message----- From: daviddlasvegas <daviddlasvegas@xxxxxxxxx> To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Mon, 25 Jun 2007 1:45 pm Subject: [DML] My DMC is a financial hole - what should I do at this point Hi all.
