[DML] Re: Pulling an engine and auto trans

I wanted to thank everyone who chimed in on this thread about
installing an engine and auto tranny as one piece. The wife and I
attacked the powertrain with my crane and newly acquired tilter over
the weekend and I was amazed to say the least how easy the whole thing
went into the car. It took 15 minutes tops from hovering over the
frame to bolting up the trans mounts and dropping into the motor mounts.

If anything, the most complicated part was dealing with the crossover
pipe. I elected to put the assembly in without the pipe attached. Once
it was mostly in the car and right before I leveled it all out, i slid
the pipe in over the trans and loosely bolted it to the exhaust
manifolds to hold it in place. That seemed to work like a charm. Never
banged or scraped anything up against the frame or body at all.

Pic posted in the photos section. Thanks again.
