Pretty much any single-din stereo will fit, there is plenty of room. You will need to either cut apart your OEM bracket or get a new one that is pre-cut from your favorite vendor.

Removing the stereo requires removing the entire center console (the padding that covers the middle part between the seats). Find a really old-time stereo shop with older people working at it if you don't want to do this yourself. They might be more respectful and careful when tearing your interior apart. I only say this because there are tons of fly-by-night stereo shops run by high-school dropouts who think they can pimp your ride.

The shop manual gives decent directions on how to remove the radio.

Subject: [DML] What radios work in the DMC?
I want to replace the original radio in my car with a new one (CD
Player too) and replace the speakers. What radios will fit in the car?
Can an audio shop do this for me no hassle? I don't need anything
fancy but want to listen to clear music and CDs.
