It will probably take cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting the linkage. You may also have to replace some worn rubber bushings. Order an extra pivot bolt to keep in the car. Adjust as per the Workshop Manual. If it doesn't help you may have to R&R the transmission but that is not likely.
